Windcrest Farm is a USDA Certified Organic farm, greenhouse and educational center that supplies market farmers, community organizations and home gardeners with heirloom vegetable, flower, herb and fruit plants as well as growing fresh produce for local families, farmers markets, and restaurants. We make the connection from seed-to-plate through on-farm classes, educational tours, and social media networking led by a former corporate educator/project manager, lifelong gardener, and full-time farmer.

Windcrest Farm is a working farm and our residence, therefore, we are not open to the public on a daily basis. We love visitors by appointment and on our scheduled Open Farm Days. Open Farm Days include Plant Sale Days, Farm Tours, and Educational Open House Days. Please contact us if you would like to schedule an appointment or book a Farm Tour.

Our "Learn & Grow" curriculum includes classroom and hands-on classes covering seed starting, cover cropping and crop rotation, companion planting, soil fertility, crop planning, growing nutritionally dense food, pest management, seed saving, cooking classes, among others. Students include adult and school-age learners, community groups, garden clubs, summer campers and public presentations. All these topics are presented on our farm or from a small family farm perspective.

What our students tell us:

Thank you, Mary! The class was the most useful I ever attended. It was great to learn and "get it done" all at one time while learning. A lot of info I have to just tuck away, and hope I can recall later.
Loretta M.

Over the years we have been blessed and supported by volunteers who help us make light work with many hands. Whether you come for a few hours, a few days or a few seasons, there is always something to do, something interesting to learn and great conversation. Learn more about opportunities to join us at Windcrest Farm.

Several times each year, Windcrest Farm welcomes visitors to enjoy our farm and see what a local USDA Certified Organic farm has to offer and how we do it. Farm Tours are a great way to get out to the country, see where local food comes from, and learn something. If you would like to schedule a private Farm Tour, please contact us for information and pricing.

We know that sometimes Farmers Market shopping does not fit your weekend schedule or like us, your "weekend" falls on a Tuesday. So please feel free to reach out, let us know your interest., and schedule an appointment to shop our products.
