Landscape Plants

"Reclaim, Restore, Reuse, Recycle and Re-purpose are our guiding principles when we plan on planting and building projects at Windcrest Farm. This year another "R" word came into play, and that word is "Retirement". No, not me, but a neighboring nurseryman who decided it was time to retire from the landscape nursery business. His transition provided an excellent opportunity for us to re-purpose his inventory into our cut flower business and habitat building program, plus give us new products to offer. Hundreds of ornamental shrubs, trees, and perennial flowers are being planted at the farm this fall (the perfect time for planting trees and shrubs!) and used for propagation. This project is truly transforming our landscape with new colors and textures while providing more habitat for beneficial wildlife. This investment is rewarding us with new opportunities and products and we are looking forward an explosion of color this Spring."

Phase One of this project is complete.
Now we have extra landscape plants available for you!

is a great time to plant trees, fruits, and perennials. The ground has plenty of moisture, the air is cool and the plants are dormant. This means there is less transplanting stress on plants as they move from their containers to the ground.

Check out the wide range of plants we have available here, then let me know if you would like to pick your plants up at the Matthews Community Farmers Market on a Saturday from 8 am to 10 am or make an appointment to pick them up at the farm. Delivery is available for an additional cost. There are 262 plant categories available, so there is something for every landscape - from containers to field.

As I mentioned above, we acquired this nursery stock in order to further expand our cut flower business and habitat building program (plus dress up the farm a bit). We have had the plants professionally evaluated and are now offering these plants are near wholesale cost to you, and no minimums for pickup.

when this inventory is gone, it's gone. We have no plans to be in the landscape nursery business!

Want to come shop? The farm will be open on Sunday, Feb. 11 from 1 pm to 4 pm. If you let us know you want something specific, I will put it aside for you!
