This is a HANDS ON Workshop designed to help you get the most from your fresh baby turmeric harvest and preserve a stash for the year.
Learn why fresh, local and USDA Certified Organic turmeric is so important to your health and the history of how this unique products became part of the Windcrest Farm story.
Visit the grow house and harvest fresh baby turmeric. Experiencing the aromatherapy and delight of pulling fresh, tender baby turmeric from the ground is a unique experience for turmeric lovers!
Prepare your turmeric for use and storage - it's all about roots and rhizomes! By embracing the whole plant, pulled from our nutrient rich soil, you will gain new appreciation for this delicious, nutritious and medicinal plant.
Preserve the harvest - we will show you how to prepare your fresh turmeric for year-long freezer storage and provide you with the opportunity to process your turmeric fresh from the ground during the workshop.(Turmeric sold separately).
